A Marauder Holiday for Pogonotrophy (Yay Christine!)

A couple of notes: Considering that I wrote this in about four days, I'm pretty happy with this piece. Perhaps it's a little cliché (I can envision this oneshot far too perfectly within my mind for it to be completely original), but I like to think of it as my interpretation of these old clichés. Well, there was a prompt, you see.

The Prompt: Platitudes. What was I going to do with that? When I looked it up, I found that platitude had all these lovely synonyms: trite, vapid, overdone, and clichéd.

So, there you have it. This is why my fic is the way it is. And I'd never truly written a "classic" Marauder fic, so I thought it would be interesting.

Another note - some people commented on a possible Remus-y crush on Lily, but I actually still had my mind stuck in dogdaysofsummer  mode, so I was actually thinking the beginnings of Remus/Sirius. Remus' views of Lily were, for me, influenced by Remus' deep friendship with Lily. And also Remus' keen observational skills. Additionally, Remus, as a single and lonely bloke, is mildly jealous of any happy couple. Hurrah.

Also, I'm so happy that my gift was for Pogonotrophy/Christine. Because Christine is totally awesomesauce.

Also, chapter 12 of A Knack for Things has just been sent to the beta, paperrose. I'm not really happy with how slow it is, but I'm really pumped for chapter 13 (it's not written yet, but ideas have been circulating in my head for a month now - Hogsmeade! Sirius! Butterbeer!)

But the second entry was January Blooms, which is somewhere down below, I believe I've marked it as memorable. I hope so, anyway. :)

Well, here is a little ditty I cooked up in like three or four days, partially based upon that oddly lucid dream I had about a week ago. Don't laugh, I know it's pretty bad, but I sent it in anyway (partially because there appeared to be no entry fee).
